Seyal Dabal Recipe | Sindhi Masala Pav Recipe

masala pav recipe sindhi style seyal dabal recipe

Seyal dabal is a staple in most Sindhi households, often had for breakfast or evening snack. And if you love soft dinner rolls cooked in a tomato-based sauce, you would love to have it at any time of the day. You can say that seyal dabal recipe is the Sindhi version of masala pav. It’s an easy and quick recipe that comes in handy when you have very little time to spare. I have very fond memories relating to this dish. I often took it to school for lunch and all my friends loved it. Who could resist the aroma of the garlic, the tang of the tomatoes, and the comforting cloud-like texture of the dinner rolls? Just the thought of it could make you hungry.

Adding Cheese to the Seyal Dabal Recipe

Transitionally, cheese is not a part of this recipe. However, I fell head over heels with this combination when I had an opportunity to enjoy a spectacularly made seyal dabal at a placed in Pune. The guy added tons of finely grated cheddar to the piping hot seyal dabal. So I often add cheese to it when I prepare it at home.

Other Versions of Seyal Dabal

Previously, I have shared a couple of recipes that use bread as their main ingredient. First, the bread upma, which quite to seyal dabal in terms of the ingredients used, yet tastes very distinct. The masala pav is another hit at my place. It’s the Mumbai-style masala pav cooked in a sauce flavored with pav bhaji masala. Here are the recipes of bread upma and cheese masala pav.

Now let’s see how to make this delicious, easy breakfast recipe.
